About IHR Impact

IHR Impact is a charitable program that was developed as a way for Illinois Horse Rescue of Will County to give back to the community. The positive effect that working with animals can have on a person is an undeniable benefit that we believe should be shared. Not only does working with the animals help people emotionally but learning how to care for them teaches a valuable lesson. We aim to provide people the opportunity to have access to our rescue animals for both therapeutic and educational purposes.

IHR Impact teams up people with rescue animals who will benefit from the love and attention that an animal can provide. We provide a structured, safe environment for people to interact with the rescue animals by helping to care for them, teaching them about the animals and encouraging them to take responsibility for the animals. IHR Impact promote teamwork, acceptance, independence and accountability. For individuals of all ages there is no doubt that the experience helps to increase happiness, confidence, and self-esteem, while bonding with animals. We build a personalized experience for each individual or group. We travel with our rescue animals to different communities few are willing to go and IMPACT their lives!

To strive to represent both human and animal interests by creating a program that promotes personal growth through animal interaction and care. This unique strategy supports an environment of unconditional love and companionship in which people and rescue animals can work together towards healing each other and strengthening their ability to be a positive force in the lives of others and of themselves.

Our Funding

IHR Impact is a charitable program Illinois Horse Rescue of Will County developed and IHRWC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and does not receive any state or government funding at all. Our organization is run solely on donations from the kind and generous people who care about the lives we impact. Our staff is made up entirely of volunteers. This allows all donations to directly benefit our missions! Our budget is for  IHR Impact to travel to many different communities and maintaining the rescue atmosphere.
