This is Athena checking in for Straight from the Rescues’ Mouths. Last week when I reached out for help because my home (Illinois Horse Rescue of Will County) is in the middle of a hay crisis I was not expecting all your amazing support! Last week we had only enough hay to last us until the end of the month! I can’t say that I wasn’t scared… but all of us that are getting our second chance here at Illinois Horse Rescue of Will County had our prays answered. We were able to pick up one load of hay this week and hoping to pick up another one this weekend. All us rescues cannot Thank those of you who have donated in our time of need enough! There are no words to explain the feeling I feel about the amazing kindness and generosity you have shown us. My heart was broken when I first came to IHRWC, until a little girl gave me something to care about and fight for! I will continue to beg and pray that we will be able to get to our $6,000.
