Howdy Friends!!
Before we get into all the exciting updates around here, the humans wanted us to talk about something important.

They recently asked all of you some really hard questions. And trust us, we know these aren’t easy decisions… they’re the same ones the humans have to face themselves. So first and foremost: A HUGE thank you to everyone who took the time to answer. Your voices truly matter and help guide the future of rescue.
Here’s what you had to say:
🐴 Which animal would you choose to save?
Healthy horse – 6 votes
Horse in need of medical care – 11 votes
Horse needing a final act of kindness – 15 votes
Other – 2 votes
🐴 When rescuing from auctions, what should be the biggest priority?
Saving the most – 10 votes
Worst condition – 4 votes
Best chance of recovery – 3 votes
Hospice cases – 3 votes
Balance of all – 12 votes
🐴 What part of auction rescue matters most to you?
Providing sanctuary – 6 votes
Medical care & rehabilitation – 0 votes
Protecting from entering slaughter – 18 votes
Finding them homes – 2 votes
Second chance at life – 6 votes
These answers mean more than you know. They reflect the heart behind rescue.
Now… onto some BIG news from the farm!
The dream became reality! Our quarantine barns are officially HERE! We’ve heard the humans talking about this forever, and now they’ve actually arrived. That means new rescues will have a safe, dedicated space when they first come in away from all of us to insure we don't get sick if they are.

Next up: fencing! It’s scheduled to be delivered and repaired next month. We’re already taking bets on who’s going to test it first.
And the rain… oh, the rain. The humans say we’re “dodging it,” but from where we stand, it feels like we’re losing that game. Between mud, puddles, and all the spring chores, it’s been busy, messy, and nonstop.

🐾 Ophelia is ready for adoption! This special girl is looking for just the right home. She is blind and will need someone with experience or knowledge in caring for a blind cat...but she has so much love to give. We just know her perfect person is out there.
Barn Cat Program – OPEN! We have many cats scheduled to arrive next month and they’re looking for safe places to call home. If you’ve got a barn, or space where a working cat could thrive, give the humans a call or send in an application!
This month’s biggest need: Fly Traps! Let’s just say… we would all really appreciate fewer flies. A lot fewer. https://a.co/0is74GvP
That’s all for now. We’re off to supervise, snack, and maybe stay out of the mud (no promises).
Until next time,
Samson
