Spooky Fall Fix-Up

Samson here, kicking off another edition of 'Straight from the Rescues’ Mouths! Sorry for the absence on social media this month—I’ve been busy around here lending a hoof to our volunteers! We’ve been on a mission: taking down old fencing like it’s going out of style! Some of the wood posts were so wobbly they were practically doing the hokey-pokey out of the ground. But before we could bring in the new stuff, we had to pull down all the old fence boards. Some were sturdy enough to save for future fixes, but a lot… let’s just say they were way past their prime.

Now, we’ve got this snazzy new braided wire fencing that looks so fresh and clean. It’s gonna keep us rescues safer, and it’s a breeze for the volunteers to keep up with! You’re gonna love it when you see it, trust me!!

And speaking of seeing things, have you checked out the view around here? The fall colors are amazing! The farmers have harvested their crops, the trees are a riot of color, and I’m one happy donkey taking it all in. Oh, and Happy Halloween, everyone! Fall is my favorite, and can I let you in on a little secret? I LOVE pumpkins!! Seriously, I can’t get enough of them. So, here’s the deal: if you’ve got any leftover pumpkins after Halloween, bring ‘em by! I’ll take ‘em all, as long as they’re chemical-free and safe for us to munch. And don’t worry, I promise I’ll share with my friends… eventually.

Alright, folks, duty calls! We’ve still got lots to do to get ready for winter. Until next time, have a FALL-tastic day!
