Fallin’ for the Cooler Weather (and the Treats!)

Well hay there, friends! 🍂 Samson here with your favorite Straight from the Rescues’ Mouths and let me tell you, we are loving this cooler weather! The flies are finally taking a hike, the air smells like pumpkins, and everyone around here seems to have a little extra pep in their step (even the goats, and that’s saying something!).

Cooler weather also means more visitors coming out to see our home and meet all of us rescues, which we love! Our Fall into Giving event was a small but mighty success. The pet photographer was amazing, and we can’t wait to have Fetch back next year. The dogs posed like pros, and the horses, they definitely enjoyed their superstar moments in front of the camera.

We’re planning to host events like this every month, so keep an eye on our page for upcoming dates. I might’ve even overheard a little something about a special visitor in red making an appearance soon... yep, sounds like Santa might be trotting our way!

Now for some big, heartwarming news. Our sweet little Holstein heifer, Mavis, has found her forever home! A huge thank you to Mooseheart for opening their hearts (and barn doors) to her. She’s going to be so loved there. Sadly, Corona and a many of his friends are still waiting for their chance, but we’re keeping our hooves crossed that their turn is coming soon.

As for this month’s need, our kitties have one simple request Dry Cat Food! Any brand, any bag, we’ll make good use of it. With so many mouths to feed, every bit helps. You can donate online or drop of at our next donation drop event November 8th from 10 AM to 12 PM.
