Clean up, Projects, Check ups, and NEW rescues!

Greetings, I'm Samson from Straight from the Rescues’ Mouths, and I'm pleased to report that we had a highly productive month of cleaning up after the Winter season. It seems like Spring brings along a lot of cleaning duties, don't you think? Unfortunately, we had to cancel our Help a Horse Day Fundraiser, but we remain optimistic and continue to strive towards our future goals and projects. As a matter of fact, we're about to start working on a few significant projects this Spring.

Our primary focus is repairing some of our fences, followed by finding a volunteer electrician to replace our barn and tack room's big spotlights. I'm a clever donkey, but I know better than to mess with electricity and leave that to the professionals! Additionally, we aim to re-level a few of our bedrooms (stalls) that have been damaged, thanks to my friend Corona, who created canyons in his bedroom floor. Sometimes there's a yellow river flowing through it, yikes! These are massive projects that we plan to tackle in the next few months, and I'm eager to lend a helping hoof where I can.

On a different note, twelve of my feline friends had a trip to visit the doctor, and while some of them didn't enjoy the outing, others had a great time. They all received check-ups and shots, and Snow Angel got a new haircut because she struggles with bad mats and can't groom herself. She's temporarily staying in the rescue office until the weather warms up before she can return to the barn. We're currently seeking twelve sponsors to donate $30 each to assist in covering their costs.

Before I go, I have exciting news to share with you all. We have two new additions to our family, Winter and Sunflower. These lovely girls are still a little shy, but I'm working on getting to know them better, and I'll have more updates to share next month.

That's all for now, but be sure to check back with us soon for more news from Straight from the Rescues’ Mouths!
