Baby it's cold out there!

Kiss all blanketed up eating her dinner.

This is Sampson checking in for Straight from the Rescues’ Mouths. As I’m sure most of you know, it has been a crazy week with the weather. Some of my pals are blanketed tail to tip of nose! Our turnouts (outside pens) are sheets of ice and for all our safety we haven’t gone out. My friends and I are going stir crazy not being able to go play outside. Thankfully our home (Illinois Horse Rescue of Will County) has a big indoor arena that we all take turns in letting off steam. Sadly, I don't think the weather temperatures are going to be any better next week from what I hear from my 2-legged pals that are dedicated enough to come and help care for all of us 4 legged critters. This is the time we would love to indulge in that extra piece of cake (that’s hay for us), but we continue to be in a hay shortage. Those of us that are in perfect weight or little overweight cannot afford to indulge and must leave it for the ones who need it more. But I heard this verse the other day and it stuck in my head so I would like to share it with you. FAITH It does not make things easy it makes them possible. Luke 1:37

It was Faith that came through for us to call this amazing place our rescue home. I know everyone at Illinois Horse Rescue of Will County will continue to have Faith and Miracles still happen!

That’s all for today. Check back next week for the latest update to Straight from the Rescues’ Mouths. Samson checking out here.
